The last time I made these they never really sat up, they were still soft to touch. It was last summer so I am thinking it was due to the humidity. The kids love these and as a bonus they aren't a messy cookie. This is another one from my mom!
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups oats, quick cook
1 tsp vanilla
In large saucepan mix milk, cocoa, butter and sugar. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil for one minute. (You may want to cook a little longer if it is humid) Remove from heat, add in oatmeal and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on wax paper and let cool.
